August 8 & 9, 2009

     We had the 101 class on Saturday and the 102 class on Sunday.  Most of the attendees took both classes and said they were glad they did.  The Saturday class covers the basics and the Sunday class goes more in depth and ties everything together.  Chris Moon's "technician" is Tyler, "Ty", and Ty's parents were able to attend the 102 class.  It was interesting to talk to them about hearing their son's voice on the 'Telephone to the Dead'.  Here are the transcripts from the three "Box" sessions.  I did not transcribe the personal messages.

           Saturday, Aug. 8, first session, Room 5:

Chris: "Ty?"....................'Hey'

"Your mom and dad are coming tomorrow night.  Do you know that?"..........'Yeah'

Chuck: "Are you going to play with the guests at night?"..................'What do you mean?'

"Well, last time you helped play some gags on the guests, are you going to do that again  tonight?".............'Maybe'

"I have a question for our residents here, we've been doing alot of traveling lately, we had alot of events.  One of them was Kristin's wedding.  How many residents from here went with us to Kristin's wedding?"..............(Harold starts naming names)

Chris: "No, no, just give us a number.".................Amanda: 'I went.  It was beautiful.'      Mary: 'I stayed here.'

Joy: "How many of you went to Camp with Jinni?".............Harold: 'Amanda went.'

Chuck: "Amanda, how many went with Jinni?"...............'Four'

"After Camp we went to Cindi's house, did any of you follow us?".................'Nine'

"The morning Joy and I left for Pennsylvania, Joy heard a child in the hallway, who was that?"...............'Tyler'

"Is Tyler a resident here at the Inn?"..........................Ty: 'No.  I stay with Chris.'

Joy: "Not Tyler the technician.  I heard a child running in the hallway at Cindi's house and it was not Brennen or Aurora, they were asleep.  Who did I hear at Cindi's house?"...................no answer

"Was it somebody attached to Cindi's house?".........................no answer

Chuck: "Did any of you go with Joy and me to Pennsylvania?".........................Harold: 'Too busy watching.'

"Watching what?".............................'The house.'     Curtis: 'There were four.'

"Four went with us to Pennsylvania and Colorado?"..................'Four'

"Who all went?"........................Curtis: 'Me and Markie.'       Amanda: 'I stayed with Jinni.'

"Harold, when we have thunderstorms here with lightening, does that give you energy?".................Harold: 'Sure'    Curtis: 'Of course'   Amanda: 'I like storms.'

"So you're able to draw energy from the storms to become more active?"................Harold: 'Not really.'

Guest: "Who said "Patricia don't go down stairs?"................'Reagan'

"Who's Reagan?  Is Reagan a resident here?".....................'No'         Girl's voice:  'Always there.  With you.'

"So it was Reagan who told Patricia not to go down the stairs?"................'Uh huh'

Chuck: "Hey Harold, we have some skeptics in the room tonight, are you going to mess with them tonight?"........'Maybe'

"Harold, they need hard evidence to believe you are real.  What are you going to do to prove it?"................'I don't perform.'

Guest: "How old is Reagan?"...................Harold: 'Fifteen'

Chuck:  "Is David here tonight?"................David: 'I am'

"Hey David, how was your experience going to the light?"..............'Intense'

"Was it worth going to the light?".............'Yes'

"Are you back here full time now?".................'Sometimes'

"We are glad to have you back now that you have gone to the light.".............'Okay'

Guest: "Reagan, did you like school?"......................Girl's voice: 'No way'

Another Guest:  "Amanda, are you going to visit me in my room tonight?"...............'Sure'

Chuck: "About a week ago, I was whistling up the back stairs for Misty to come down and I heard somebody echo my whistle.  Who was that?"......................Curtis: 'It was rude.'

"You thought my whistle was rude?  I was whistling for Misty and I heard another whistle, who was that?"............'Me, Curtis'

"That was great, Curtis.  I actually heard something you did!  I was excited that I heard it!"..............'Great'

"Is James here?  James from the war?  The James that was talking to the lady in the parlor with the pendulum?"..........................Man's voice: 'Hello'

"James, did you go to the light?"...........................'Yes'

"Do you help Harold with his tricks on the guests?"...................'I try to stop him.'

"Why do you do that?"......................'It's not nice.'

Guest:  "Harold, what's your favorite prank?"....................Harold: 'Teasing'

Joy: "Harold, nobody has heard you tapping on the walls lately, have you stopped doing that?"..................'Do you want a Tap-Tap?'

"Yeah, that would be great.  Do a Tap-Tap on somebody.".......................'That's funny.'

Chuck: "Is Carl Knapp here?".....................'Here'

"Carl, did you go to the light okay?".................'Yes'

"Are you back here in the Inn full time now?"...............'No'

"So you come and go?".....................'Yes'

Guest: "Is Mary around?"..................Mary: 'What'

Chuck: "Hi Mary.  Thanks for watching the Inn while we were gone."...................'I don't watch it for you.'

"I know.  You take care of the Inn because you love the building."..........................'I do.'

Guest: "Is Fannie Mason Kurtz here tonight?"..................'I am'

"Hi Fannie.  Chuck showed me a picture of you.  You look nice."...................'Okay'

Chuck: "Hey Bart, if you are here can you say hi to everybody?".....................Harold: 'He's not here.'

Joy: "There was a lady in Room 6 a couple of nights ago, and she saw a man standing next to her bed.  Who was that?"...................Man's voice: 'Me'

"Who's me?  What is your name?"....................'Frank'

"Frank Clark?  Were you in Room 6?"....................'Yes'

"Why were you standing next to the bed?"...............'Just checking.'

"Just checking on the guests?".....................'Yes'

"Oh.  Well that's nice of you.".........................'Yes'

Guest: "Is Lewis Mason here?".....................Harold: 'Not here.  He had plans.'

Chuck: "Can you send out a message to him so we can talk to him tomorrow night?".................'I'll try.'

Chris: "Okay, we'll stop now with this group and I'll be back in a few minutes with another group."..............'Okay'

               Saturday, Aug. 8, second session, Room 5:

Chuck: "Okay, let's go back to a question we had earlier.  When we were at Cindi's house, Joy heard a child running in the hallway, and it wasn't either of Cindi's kids.  Who was that?"..............Amanda: 'Peter'

"And how old is Peter?"...................'Five'

"And does Peter reside here at the Inn or does he stay at Cindi's house?".................'Here'

"Okay, so he was there visiting with Amanda and Harold and Curtis?"...............'Yes'

Chuck: "Is Bart here yet?".......................Harold: 'He's here.'

"Hi Bart.  Can you say hi to the group and let them hear you low voice?"...............Bart: 'Hi'

"They heard about your escapades here in Bentonsport.".....................'Okay'

"Why did you rob the bank, Bart?".......................'For money.'

Chuck: "When I talk about the history of the place, I get goosebumps on my arms.  Is that somebody taking my energy?".....................Harold: 'We like to listen.  It's different.  I like the quotes.'

"What do I quote that you like?"....................'Me'

"I like to talk to people about you.  Like to brag about you.".........................'Aw'

"Harold, did you go with us on our trip to Colorado?".........................'Curtis went.'

"Did you go too, Harold?"....................'Yeah'

"I got a picture of you by the organ.  That was nice of you to come with us."............'Okay'

"Unfortunately I don't think my mother would understand you guys being there."............'I know.'

"Did anybody stay with Jinni at Cindi's house?"..............Amanda: 'I stayed.  Peter and David.'

"Is this the David that stays up in Kristin's room?".................'No'

"Is it one of the twins?"....................'Yes'    David: 'Hi'

"Hi David.  Did you go because you follow Jinni or Cindi?"...................'I went with Amanda.'

Joy: "Hey David from Kristin's room, Kristin got married in June.  Did you go?"................'No.'

Chuck: "How many of you went to Kristin's wedding?".......................Harold: 'Fifty-nine'

Joy: "What was the best part?"....................'Cake fell.  That was funny.  I laughed.'

"Did you dance, Harold?".....................'Not me!'

"You didn't dance with the bride?"..................'Curtis did.'

"Curtis, did you dance with the bride?"............'I did'

"Was it a fast dance or a slow one?"................'I don't know.'

Chuck: "Is Carrie Ann here?"....................'Yes'

"Carrie Ann, the portrait that is on the wall in Room 4, is that a picture of you and Audrey?"............'No'

"So why did you say to stop looking at you when the man was looking at the picture?"..........'I was looking through the picture.'

Guest:  "So, Mary, about the wall paper in here.......".......................Mary: 'Leave it alone.'

"We like the wall paper."..................'Leave it alone.'

Chuck: "She was teasing me, not you.  We aren't going to touch the wall paper.".................'Okay'    Harold: 'I'm not going to pay for it.'

Guest: "Does Mary have any certain room she likes to visit?"................'This one'

Joy:  "What happened to your house in Des Moines, Mary?"...................'Burned.  Fire.'

"Was it downtown?"........................'Gone.  I'm here now.  Leave it alone.'

Chuck: "Okay we'll leave the wall paper alone.  For now."..............'Leave it alone.'

Chris:  "Okay, I think we better go.  Mary's mad.  Thanks everybody.  Thanks, Ty.  Talk to you tomorrow.".............'Bye'    'Wait'     'Leave it alone!'

         Sunday, Aug 9, Room 5:

Chris: "Hey, Ty, your parents are here.  What do you think?"...............'That rocks.'

Chuck: "In honor of Ty's parents being here, I think we will start with them."

Ty's Mom: "Hi Ty, what are you doing today?"....................'Cleaning'

Ty's Dad: "What language was that on our GPS?"....................'Dutch'

Chris: "Are you excited they are here?".....................'That's great.'

Chuck: "Is Lewis Mason here tonight?"....................'Still on break.'

"Do you expect him here tonight?"....................'Maybe'

"If he gets here, would you let us know?"..................'Okay'

"Is he trapped in a vortex?"....................'No'

"One question I have is, about a month ago, I was outside during the evening, there was nobody around me and I heard a voice at the corner of the house by the street.  Was it one of you talking to me?"...............Harold: 'Not me.'

"Who was talking to me?"...................'Walter'

"Walter, are you a resident of the Inn?  Do you reside here in the Inn?"....................'Na'

"Were you just passing through?"..............................'Yeah'

"I didn't understand what you said.  Was it a message you needed to get to me?".......................'Message is old.'

"Can you tell me what you said?"..........................'No'

"I'm sorry I could not understand what you said.  I did hear your voice.  That's new for me.  Thanks for that."............'Thanks for respect.'

"Walter, were you a resident of Bentonsport?"....................'Yeah'

"What year did you die, Walter?".....................'1984'

"How old were you?"........................'43'

"Thank you, Walter."......................'Yup'

"Is Arthur here tonight?".........................'Hi'

"Hi Arthur, I know you wanted to get in contact with us.  Can you tell us why you walked the bridge?  Were you looking for something?".................'Daughter'

"Did your daughter fall off the bridge?  Did she drown?".........................'No.  I did.'

"You fell off the bridge?"....................."Fell.  Slipped on the ice.  Fell off bridge.  Went through the ice.'

"Why were you looking for your daughter?"........................'She was late.  Supposed to be home.'

"So you went out on the bridge looking for your daughter?  And you had your accident at that point?"..............'Yes'

"Arthur, have you been to the light?".......................'Yes'

"Did you see your daughter on the other side?".................'Yes.  In the light.'

"So are you at peace now?"...................'Yes'

"So are you still walking the bridge?"........................'No.   Charles does.'

"Charles walks the bridge?  Is he looking for somebody?"......................'Yes'

"So if somebody sees a man in a black coat and hat on the bridge, is that you or Charles?"................'Charles'

"What is Charles looking for?"......................'His wife.'

"Has Charles been to the light?".........................'Don't know.'

"Is Charles here?".......................Charles: 'Here'

"Charles, are you ready to go to the light yet?".........................'What?'   'The light?'

"Maybe we should talk later about this.  Talk to Arthur about the light, okay?"......................'Light?'

"There was an aura around Chris when he was in bed last night.  What was the aura about?".................Harold: 'He glows.  Like always.  They were his.  Beacon.'

Chris: "Do I glow in the dark when that happens?"...................'Beacon'

Chuck: "When we were in Room 6 a little while ago, there was a cold spot on the floor between Joy and Chris, who was that?".....................'All the kids.'

"Were they sitting on the floor at Chris's feet?"....................'Standing'

"They were standing in front of Chris?"......................'All around the room.'

"Can you tell us how many were in the room with us?"...................'Thirteen'

"So if there were thirteen in the room with us then, how many children are in the Inn total?".................Harold: 'Eighty'

"Are you exaggerating at all?"................'Eighty children.  They come to Mary.'

"Is Mary the caretaker of the children?"..............'Mary takes care of them.'

"If there are eighty children here, how many spirits total are there permanently here at the Inn?"................'189'

"So we're becoming a resort for spirits here in the Inn?  Harold, do you do personality checks on the new ones to make sure they are friendly?"......................'We do.  When we bring them in.'

"Do you seek them out?  You go out and look for friendly spirits and bring them in?"...............'We're helping.'

"Are they trapped here, or are they free to come and go?".................'Come and go.  Not trapped here.  Happy here.'

"Harold, is this because of the way we treat you as a family?".....................'Yes, we're family.'

"Well we appreciate that because we think of you as family.".................'Aw'

"Thank you to everybody who attended Kristin's wedding."..................'Stay home now.'

"Are you tired of us traveling?"........................'Yeah.  Don't know how we survived.'

Guest: "What's your favorite invention since you've passed on?"......................'The Box.'

"Well, besides the Box.  We know you love the Box.  Is there anything else?".................Harold: 'TV with sound.'       Woman's voice: 'Radio'  

"Do you know what cell phones are?"...............Amanda: 'I have one.'

Joy:  "Do you watch TV with me in the dining room?  What's your favorite show?"..................Child's voice: 'Blues Clues!'    Another child: 'Blues Clues.  I love Blues Clues!'

"Were you watching Blues Clues with Jinni and Brennen today?"...................'Yeah'

"Which kids watch TV with Jinni?"...................'All of them.'   (Children in the background are still saying 'Blues Clues, Blues Clues in a sing-song voice.)

"Does Jinni see you when you watch TV with her?"..................'No.  We stand behind her.  She gets upset when we get in front or talk too much.'

"Do any of the children still play with Jinni?"..................Amanda: 'I do.'

"Does Brennen see the children?"....................'Yes.'    'Brennen'   'Blues Clues.'

"Well, I'm glad you play with the kids around here, that's nice of you to do that."...................'Yes'

Guest:  "Is there anybody new that would like to say something to us?".....................Man's deep voice: 'Mason'

"Hello.  Which Mason?"......................'Frank'  (John Franklin Mason was one of Mary's younger brothers.  They called him Frank as a nickname.)

"Hi Frank.".......................'I'm in the house.'

"Are you just passing through or do you reside here in the Inn?"......................'I'm looking for Mary.  Where's Mary.'

"Mary's around here somewhere.  She's usually up on the third floor."......................'I see her.   Mary!'     Mary:  'Frank!'  (In the background, Frank and Mary carry on a conversation.  She is very motherly to he little brother.  Not gruff like she is with us.)

Guest: "Is there anybody here named Blount that lived here in Bentonsport?"..............Man's voice: 'Certainly.  Which one?'

"Is Henry Blount around?"....................'Why do you want to know?'

"We want to know if you are related to the Blounts in Dubuque County.  Are you related to a Harold Blount?"..................'Lewis'

"Are you related to a Leslie Blount?"..................'That's me.'

Chuck asking Guest: "So you have a relative of yours here?"...............'Yeah, me.'

Guest: "Hello, Leslie.".......................'Hello'

Chuck: "Are Harold and Leslie related to each other?"......................Harold: 'I'm going to deny it.'

"Not you, Harold, Harold Blount."....................'Oh'

Guest:  "Are you Harold Leslie, or Leslie Thomas?"......................Leslie: 'I can't believe this.  What is this?'

Ty's Dad: "Help him out Tyler."

Chuck: "So which is your name?  Harold Leslie or Leslie Thomas?"..................'Leslie Harold'

"Are you related to Henry?"....................'Yes, I am.'

"So your relationship with the Henry Blount that lived here in Bentonsport ties (our guest) to the Mason House then."....................'Yes, that's true.'

"Thanks guys.  Do any of the Blounts reside here in the Inn?".....................'Four of us.'

"Do you all reside here in the Inn?"........................'First floor.  Near the pantry.'

"Do you reside here full time or are you just passing through?"...............'Full time.  Kitchen was the pantry.'   Harold:  'It's going to happen fast.'

"What's going to happen fast?"....................'Everybody's going to know everybody.  It's going to be bad.'

"What's so bad about knowing you?"........................'I'm joking'

"Are you guys all teases and interact with our guests?".......................'Sometimes'

"Ty, your Mom and Dad are staying the night tonight in Room 7.  You can go visit them."..................Ty: 'I'll try.'

"Are you going to give them a good time tonight?".......................Harold: 'Party in Room 7!'

"Tyler, did you help with the tricks in Rooms 6 and 7 last night?"......................Ty: 'I helped with the knocking.'

Chris: "Hey Harold, that little trick you did with the EVP, where you matched my voice at the end, that was pretty cool.".....................Harold: 'It was funny for me.'

Chuck: "Harold, were you the one doing the clicking throughout the EVP?"......................'Yeah'

"That was pretty good.  That was a new sound.".............'For me.'

Cindi: "Who was it that came in my room last night, drained my cell phone and then got on the bed?"..............Curtis: 'Amanda and me'

Chuck: "Amanda and Curtis?  Was there anybody else?"............'Just us'

Cindi:  "Did you need the energy from the cell phone?".............'It was there.  Needed more.'

Chuck: "Thank you for visiting her, that was nice."  Cindi: "I thought it was Josephine.".......'No'

(At this point, knocking sounds are heard in my recorder, but were not heard in the room.)

Guest: "How about Room 5.  Why did we get alot of orbs in our pictures last night?"............Harold: 'Vortex.  We got vortex.'

Chuck: "How many spirits came through here last night when they went to bed?".............'A slew!'

"They had fun watching it."................'A slew!'

To Ty's parents - "Do you have any thing else for your son?"    Ty's mom: "Thank you.  We had fun listening to him."...............Ty: 'Good to see you.'

Chris: "Bye guys.  Thanks."..........'Talk to you later.'        'Bye'
