February 27 and 28, 2010

     We had the 101 class on Saturday and the 102 class on Sunday.  Most of the attendees took both classes and said they were glad they did.  The Saturday class covers the basics and the Sunday class goes more in depth and ties everything together.   In this advanced class, Chris had brought an app on his Droid cell phone called "Ghost Radar".  We used it to investigate and during EVPs and the box sessions.  It was interesting, but I am not endorsing it as a ghost hunting tool.  Here are the transcripts from the various "Box" sessions.  I did not transcribe the personal messages.

Saturday, Feb. 27, Room 5:

Chris: "Ty?".................'Hey'

"How many are here already?".......................'Eight'

"Eight ready to talk, wow.  Okay, we will start with Chuck."

Chuck:  "Ty, I understand congratulations are in order for you."........................'Why?'

"Doug tells us you got married."................................'Not really.'

"Oh, is there somebody special we should know about?"......................'Jen.  Yeah.'

"Jen.  But not married yet?".......................'Maybe'

"Is she here tonight?"......................'Right by me.'

"Did you meet her here?".......................'No'

"Okay, well, welcome Jen."............................'Thanks, Chuck.'

"Harold, I have some science questions for you to start with and then we'll get to some other things.".............Harold: 'Me?'

"Yeah, you Harold.  When we have a strong wind in the area, does that give you extra energy?"................'Not exactly.'

"What about a big snow storm, does that give you energy?"..................'Sort of.  Water mainly.'

"So if we had a big rain storm, does that help?".......................'Yes'

"Another thing is....when we are here by ourselves sometimes we hear footsteps walking around.  My question is, do we hear you because you want us to hear you, or is it just your everyday life around here?"...............'It's just normal.'

"So that leads into my next question, are you forming into a full bodied apparition when you are making those sounds?".................'No'

"So how do you do that?  If an orb is a light ball of energy, how do you make heavy noises?"................'It's simple really.'

"Can you explain how you do that?".............................'Through projection.  My feet.'

"So you are purposely making noise?  Or is it a by-product of what you're doing?  How do we hear you breathing and snoring when you don't breathe?".............................Amanda: 'Sometimes I sneeze.'      Harold: 'I can't explain it.'

"Anna, is the river going to flood this year?"...........................Anna: 'Not tomorrow.'         Harold: 'The water's rising.'

"Do we need to worry?"..........................Harold: 'You're going to get wet!'         Anna: 'Don't worry yet.'

"We had a husband and wife here who were writing a book about haunted Inns.  He put a piece of material in his pocket and then it was gone.  What happened to the material?"......................Amanda: 'I wanted it.  I took it.'

"Did you take it as a joke?"..........................'He said something mean to me.'

"We're sorry about that.  Did you give the material back?"........................'Had to.'        Unknown voice: 'Close the door to the boat house.'

Chris: "They're still talking about the river."

Guest: "When Amanda goes to school with Jinni, what do you like about school?".......................Amanda: 'People'

(There was alot of interference, so Chris had to turn off the Box and then turn it back on again.  He thought it had to do with all the earthquakes and tsunamis going on that day.)

Chris: "Does this interference have to do with what is going on in the world today?".............Ty: 'Yes.   Many coming.'

"You're receiving many because of the earthquakes and floods?"......................'Yes'

Guest: "What does Ty mean by "many coming"?"...........................Ty: 'Many dying.  There's a shift.  Many souls.  Disaster.'

"Can anyone tell me if what is going on has anything to do with 2012?".....................'It does. Yes.'    'Just a beginning.'

Guest: "Is Morris here?"........................Little boy voice: 'Yes'

"Is he in the room with us?".....................'Hi folks.'

"Hi, Morris."............................'Who's the suspect?'

Chuck: "Is Senator Mason here tonight?".....................Man's voice: 'I'm here.  Hello.'

"Senator, it's an honor to talk to you tonight.  Do you visit here often?".....................'Sometimes'

"You wrote a book called 'John the Unafraid', who were you writing about?".........................'Me, mostly.'

Chris: "Hey Ty, it feels like the energy is off.  Would it help if we switched rooms?  Switched location?"..............'Tsunami.  It's shifting.'

"Is this a long term effect, or just for tonight?"................'Thousands missing.  It's bad.'

"Do the spirits get involved when something like this happens?  Is there a world-wide call for spirits to help out?".....................'Yes'

"So should we switch rooms?  Would that help?".........................Harold: 'Room Three.'

Cindi: "Room Three?  That's my room."....................'Party!'

"Are they all partying with the kids?"......................'Yes'

"Is that where the energy is?".......................'Good energy.'    Amanda: 'I sang.'

"Did you sing Happy Birthday to Aurora?".......................'I did.'

"How many came to the party?"........................'Twelve'

Chris: "Has anybody seen Josephine lately?"................'Outside'      'On the porch.'

Chuck: "Since we're talking about cats, we've had Smokey in Room One with us during the day, and somebody's been playing with her and driving her crazy.  Who's been doing that?"...............Amanda: 'That's Harold.'       Harold: 'Not me, you.'

"Does she see you as an orb or an apparition?"...................Harold: 'I don't know how I look to a cat.'

"She watches you go back and forth across the ceiling, drives her crazy."............'It's fun.'

(There was alot of interference, so we moved to the dining room.)

Chuck: "Is Senator Mason still here with us?"..........................Harold: 'No, he had to go.'     Curtis: 'Problem'

"Is Joe the slave here with us?".........................'Yes'

"Is everything okay now that you've gone to the light?"...................'Yes.  Thought it was a trick, but it wasn't.'

"Do you reside here full time now?"...................'Outside.'

"You started telling us a story about the tunnel, were you in the tunnel when it collapsed?"...............'Yes'

"Why was there a hanging?  Did they not want to take you back to Missouri?  Were you being used as an example?"....................'Yes'     'Frank'    'Hung me.'

"Were you hung on the property here?".......................'Outside my parent's house.'

"There were three others with you.  Were they hung too?"....................'No'

"Who said "It's so sad" in Joy's ear?"..........................Girl's voice: 'Me'

Guest: "Do you spirits celebrate holidays like Christmas?".....................'For the living.'

Joy: "Did anybody go to Jinni's basketball games?"...................Amanda: 'I did.'

(There was still alot of interference, so we shut it down for a while.)

          Saturday, Feb. 27th, later that night, Room 5:

Chuck: "Is Senator Mason here tonight?".....................'Yes'

"Senator Mason, in your book, John the Unafraid, does John represent somebody in real life?".........'Yes'

"Who does it represent?".......................'Me'

"So, is it an autobiography?"............'I think so.'

"Well, we just got a copy of it.".....................'Good'

"Did you write any other books?"...................'No'

"Markie, are you there?"......................'I'm here.'

"Markie, a couple of weeks ago, somebody knocked twice on our wall.  Was that you?"...............'It was Harold.'

"Then, a couple days later somebody knocked with two sets of two knocks.  Was that you?"...................'That was Harold again.'

"So, Harold, you're teasing us with Markie's code?".........................Harold: 'Yeah.  I got you.'

"Joy and Jinni were in the kitchen a few weeks ago and Jinni said "Happy Valentine's Day" and somebody said "Thank you".  Who said that?"...................'Me'

"Who is Me?"......................'Joy knows.'

"Was it Curtis?".....................'Yeah, me.'

"Harold, when we went to Colorado last year, you said there were seven spirits in the house, and four of them were from the Inn.  Do you know the names of the other three?"..................'Klaus'

"What were the other two?"..........................'Harry and Ann.'

"And do they all reside there in that house?"......................'Change'

"Change what?  The question?"........................'Yeah'

"When Cindi said it was a fast week and I said "Yes it was", somebody else said "Yes it was" also, who said that?"........................'Me.  Curtis.  I got you.'

Guest: "Do they know what we're going to ask before we finish asking it?"...................'Depends'     Harold: 'I know.   I'm going to Florida.'

"Are you going fishing?"..................'What?  No.  I'm on vacation.  But I'm going to miss you.'

"Are you actually leaving, or are you teasing?".......................'I'm going.'

"Where are you going to go on vacation?"........................'Florida'

"Who's going to watch over the Inn?".......................'Amanda'

"How will we know that you're back?".........................'You probably won't.  But I'll miss you.'

"Harold, when you said you picked us to buy the Inn, what was it about us that made you pick us.?".................'The kids.'

"You mean Jinni?".................'Yeah'

"Not Joy?"......................'She's a relief.'

"What do you mean by relief?"......................'She wasn't angry at us.'

"Why should she be angry at you?".......................'About the beds.'

"Did the previous owners get mad at you for messing up the beds?"..................'All the time.'

"But you did it to irritate them, didn't you?"..........................'It worked.'

"We thought it was funny.".................................'Really?'     'The shadows.'

"What about the shadows?"...........................'You're not crazy.'

"Do you mean when I see the shadow people, I'm not crazy?  That's you?".......................'Yeah'

"Well, thank you for showing yourselves to me."............................'Okay'

Joy: "What happened to the mouse, Harold?"...........................'It's dead.  It's in the wall.'

"Can you pick it up and take it outside?"...........................'I tried that.  Didn't work.'

"Can you smell it?"......................'No, but you can.'  'It's in the wall.'  'Open the wall and take it out.'

"Can you help us and get it out of there?".....................'Break the wall.'  'It's wet.'

"Can you blow on it to make it dry up?"..............................'No'  'It takes time.'

Guest: 'Did any spirits see the Olympics?".......................'Not really.'     'Rock and roll.'

"Do you like Rock and Roll music?".................various voices: 'No'    'I do.'    'What's that?'    'I don't'

Chuck: "Is Billie Robinson here tonight?"......................'Yes'

"Mr. Robinson, you built a beautiful building here.".........................'Thank you.'

"Can you tell us how many months it took to build it?"....................'Five.  Piled up the rocks.'

"The rock foundation, yes.  How long did it take to build the hotel?".....................'Eight months.'

"Do you know what month it was completed?"...........................'July'

"When you were here, there is a building north of the Inn that is made of limestone blocks.  Do you know what year it was built?".......................'1839.  It's on the map.'

"That may be the Hancock house.  We're talking about the limestone building with two front doors.  Was it built as a home or a store?".........................'Stores'

"What kind of stores were they?".....................'Mercantile'

"Both of them?".....................'Seed.  Iron.  Mercantile.'

"Were the builders Mormon?".........................'For this address, yes.'

"The Mormons built this Inn?"......................'Yes'

"Did they also build the limestone house?".....................'Some of them, yes.  Not all.'

"How many workers worked on the Inn to build it?"......................'Seven'

"Seven men built this in eight months?"........................'Didn't plan it to be that tall.'

"You mean it was only supposed to be two stories?"..............................'Had to do it again.'

"Do you know where the bricks were made?  Here in Bentonsport or across the river in South Bentonsport?"........................'To the west, then south.'

"On this side of the river or on the other side of the river?".......................'South side.  On the hill.'

"Mr. Robinson, what did you do after you sold the Inn to the Mason family?"...................'Went west.  Nebraska.'

"You moved to Nebraska?".........................'Went west.  Through Nebraska.  To the coast.'

"Were you part of the Gold Rush?"...................'No.  Small house.'

"Did you retire?".........................'Yes.  Nice there.'

Guest:  "Can you appear in two spots at once?  Harold?"......................'Not always.'

"Do you feel temperature like hot and cold?"......................'Hot'

"Are you hot now?".........................'I feel pressure.'

"Somehow I don't think that bothers you."........................'Yes it does.'

"What about barometric pressure, like when a storm is coming, can you feel that?"................'Huge, yes.'

"When it is winter, do you feel the cold?".....................'No'    Amanda: 'I can see the snow.'

"Harold, what did you do in Peoria before the war?"...................'Non military stuff.'

"What was your occupation?"........................'Apprentice blacksmith.'

"Amanda, do you have a favorite season?".......................Amanda: 'Fall'

"Is that because the leaves change and all the colors?".........................'Yes.  Pretty.'

"Do you miss the tavern being gone?".......................Man's voice: 'I do.'

"Did you spend alot of time there?"....................'Yeah'

"What did you like to do there?"........................'Drink'

"What was your favorite drink?".......................'Whiskey'

"What year did you pass?".........................'Not today.'

"Have you gone to the light?"......................'Wondering'

"If you need help, let us know.".......................'In the future.'

      Sunday, Feb. 28, Room 5:

  (Chris was using an app on his Droid cell phone that is called "Ghost Radar" and we wanted to get the spirits' opinion of it.  Two of the guests also had the app, so we were comparing the results of the three.  The radar part shows colored dots, representing the supposed spirits, coming and going and moving around the room.  The speaking part says one word at a time, supposedly the spirit talking.  We are not sure how reliable it is, but it's interesting. )

Chris: "Ty?  Can you see this new thing we're trying to use?  Do you have any idea?  Do you see it?".........'Yeah'

"Is it going to work?"...............'I don't know.'

"Well, the idea is that we will be able to see everybody coming in around us as we talk."...............Harold: 'We want to eat.'

Chuck: "We already did that.   Oh, you want energy?".........................'Not enough.'

Chris: "Has anyone figured out this thing where we can see the word?".....................Ty: 'I'll look at it.'

"If anyone wants to speak through the device, go ahead and try."......................'Okay'

Chuck: "You guys, in making the words come up, how do you do that?  Do you have to type it in, or think it?".............'We just know how to do it.'

"So you are doing it through a thought process or an energy manipulation?"...................'This is the greatest.'

"Yeah, we can see you when you come in.  We don't know how it works either."..................'I see.'

"Tyler, can you tell the range this device has?".......................'Have to be pretty close.'

"Would that be five feet or ten feet?"..........................'About twelve.'

"And would that have to be a flat plane type reading or all around it?  How deep is the beam from top to bottom?".........................'Five feet'

"Are you saying about two and a half feet up and two and a half feet down from center?".................'About that'  'I'm trying to figure it out.'     Man's voice: 'This is too frustrating.'

"And the words, you are able to think into the system and they pop out?"....................'No'

"So you have to go into the device and manipulate it?".......................'Yeah'

"We thought it might help, do you think it helps or not?"..........................'Yes'   'It's interesting.'   Man's voice: 'Chris.'

Chris: "I'm here.  I'm not sure who is speaking there."..........................'Edison'     (Thomas Edison.  Chris has talked to him before.  He has a bit of an accent like Boston or British.)

"Oh, yes, Mr. Edison?"...........................'Right here.'

Chuck: "It's a pleasure to meet you sir."............................'How do you like the interaction at the Mason?   It is hard today.'

Chris: "Yes, there is an interference today.  What do you think of this new device?"....................'It is quality.'

Chuck: "Does this augment your box?"....................'Absolutely'

Guest: "I'd like to know what he thinks of these cell phones, since he started the whole thing."............'Alot of money.  Can't believe how much they charge for it.  This is just a beginning.'

Chuck: "Is the best way to use these devices, is to put a couple together and video tape it and see how it reacts?".......................'Not sure'

Chris: "I guess we are trying to figure out if the two devices can be used together and if it makes a difference."....................'More or less.'

"Can you tell how large the vocal library is?"..........................'Atleast four thousand words.'

"Is it random or directed words?".........................'Not random.'

"Can you give us a demonstration on the device.  Give us a word to come up on the device.  Some thing that makes sense to us.".....................'I'm trying.  Patience.'

Guest: "Will they talk to anybody with the device or just special people?"..........................'Done.'

We checked and the word was Watch.

"It says Watch.  Was that what you wanted?".....................'I can't make it.'

"So  anybody who buys this device will be able to talk to the spirits?"......................'If it's applicable.'    Harold: 'It's a pain.'

"Should we ask just yes or no questions?"........................'Doesn't matter.'

"Can this device open up gates to let evil come in?"......................'Could be. Could also help people.'

"Is a technician required to use this?".........................'No'

"So are we talking about something that is the equivalent of an EMF meter?, or a Ouija board?"......................'It's beyond your control.'

"So is it spiritually dangerous?".....................'Depends on the user.'

"Which one did you send the words to?"    (one word was Went, another said Jeff.)

"Is that the word you intended to send?  Went?"....................'Yes'

"How does that relate?  I don't understand."......................'That's where it went.'

"Can you manipulate the device to say the word Mason?".......................'Slow'

"But can you do that?  Make it say Mason?"...........................'I'll try.  Mason.'

"Okay, we'll wait for it.  Mr. Edison, is there anything else you want to say?"...............'No'

Chuck: "Mr. Edison, it's been an honor talking to you tonight.  Thank you, sir.".................'You're welcome.  Keep it in balance.'

Guest: "Does the application have to be on to work, or just on your phone?"................'It has to be turned on.'

Chuck: "This is for Harold, or Curtis, or whatever, there was a group of ghost hunters here a few weeks ago, and one of the men had a picture of a woman on his arm (tattoo).  Who touched the face?"...............'Chuck'

"Is Chuck a child?".........................Curtis: 'I whistled.'

"Okay, but who touched the man on the arm.  Touched the face."...................'Me'

"What is your name?"..........................'Gregory'

"Why were you touching the picture?"......................'I'm lost.'

"Do you need to go to the light?"........................'Lost my wife.'

"Did the picture on his arm remind you of your wife?"...................'Yes.  I need a fresh start.'

"Is there anything we can help you with?"....................'No'

"Gregory, what year did you pass?".....................'Last week.  Sunday.  1944.'

"So you haven't gone to the light yet?".......................'I don't accept it.'

"Are you just passing through the Inn?"......................'No.'      (The Ghost Radar said "Ellen".)

"Gregory, what was your wife's name?"........................'Ellen'      Woman's voice: 'Hello'

"Ellen, have you crossed to the light?"..........................'Yes'

"Are you together?"........................'No.  Sun light.  The light.'

"Ellen can you help Gregory through?".........................Ellen: 'I tried'   Gregory: 'Punishment'

"No, there is no punishment, Gregory.  Only love.  Do you see the sunlight?  You can go with Ellen."..............'Temperature'         (The Ghost Radar said "Hot".)

"It's not the sun, Gregory, it's heaven.  Only love, no pain.".......................a voice says 'Follow the GPS.'

"Ellen, it's not hot is it?  Gregory, follow Tyler, follow Ellen.  It's okay to go to the light."...................'Crash.  Car crash.  My fault.'

"All of that does not matter any more.  Just go to the light and it will be okay."...........................no answer

"Tyler, can you give us an update?"..........................Ty: 'I'm trying.'      Gregory: 'Sunlight.  Hot.  Burn up.'

"No, it's not the sun.  It's heaven.  Do you go to church?"........................'I've gone.'

"So do you want to move on to a better place?   Be with Ellen?  Are you ready?".....................'I need to hold on.'

"Just take Ty's hand.  Can you do that?"............................Ty: 'Got him.  She met him there.  He's through.'    Ellen: 'Thank you.'

"You're welcome.  You can come back and talk to us again if you want to.  Bye."

Chuck: "Are you ready for the next question?".............................Ty: 'Ready'

"There was a woman with the same group who was in Room 6 and something scared her and she ran into Room 5.  What scared her in Room 6?"..........................Harold: 'Mary scared her.'

"Did she see Mary?".........................Mary: 'By the window, yes.  Ran out.'

"Yes, she ran into Room 5 and would not go back to Room 6."....................'Sorry'

"That's okay, Mary, we just wanted to find out what happened."..................'Checking on her.'

Chris:  "Mary, I understand you and I share some of the same views religiously."................Harold: 'Strange.'

"Mary, did you see spirits here in the Inn when you lived here?"....................'Every where.  All the time.'

"Did you ever do any spirit communications or s�ances here in the Inn when you were alive?"................'Yes'

"Did you call the spirits here, did you open a door?"......................'I did.'

"Were you trying to talk to Frank?".......................'Yes.  And the others.'     Harold: 'Me.'

"Where did you do those?"....................'Down stairs.  Parlor.  Dining room.'

"Did you involve anyone else or just you?".........................'Others came too.'

"Were you trying to get a hold of someone in particular or just wanting to see who was here?"..............'Both'

"How long have you seen spirits?"...................'Since I was six.'

"Were other Mason family members involved with that?"........................'No'

"So were you doing this without your parents knowing it?"...................'Mom knew'

"Was Nancy involved with it?"........................'A little.'

"Were your brothers involved with it?"....................'No'

"Did people in town accept what you were doing?"......................'Some did, some not.  Just like you.'     man's voice: 'It's intriguing.'    Harold: 'This place is like a zoo.'

"What do you mean by zoo, Harold?".......................'Busy'

Guest:  "Why does the name "Jeff" keep popping up on my Ghost Radar app?"........................'He's sick'

"You mean my father-in-law is sick?".....................'Yes.  Hospital.'

"Does this have to do with his house again?".....................'Yes.  Makes him sick.'

Guest: "Who was shaking my bed last night?"..........................Harold: 'That was me.'

"Who was playing with the man's toes in Room 4?"........................'Orbs'

"Whose orbs?"..................................Harold: 'I was in Room 1.  Curtis did it.'     Curtis: 'He needs assurance.  I only touched them.'       'Is your family happy?'

Chuck: "Yes, we are happy here.  Thanks."..............................'We're happy here.'

Guest: "I want to go back to Jeff.  Is there something you want to relate to us?".................'Wait for the phone to ring.'

Guest: "Are there any guests you hope never ever come back again?"........................'Yes'

"Why?"............................Harold: 'Mean'    Curtis:  'Disrespectful.'         Mary: 'Messy'

Chuck: "Sorry about that.  We'll try to only have nice people here."....................'Thanks'

Chris:  "What about the world wide crisis?  Any thoughts on that?".......................'More coming.   It's bad.'

"Thanks, Ty.  Get rid of the mouse, Harold."...................................'I'll try.'
