Chris: "Technician assist" ..................... 'I'm ready.'

Chuck: "I want to salute President Lincoln, Harold, Markie, James, General Ford and all the veterans who served.  This week is Veteran's Day and I want to salute all of you who served." ................. Various voices: 'Thank you'   'You too'   'I did''

Chuck: "Daniel, we were in Room 6 putting a new quilt on the bed and Joy asked if you like the new quilt but she did not hear you say anything.  Is there a reason she can't hear you?   Is energy too low?" ......................... Daniel: 'Didn't know what I thought at the time.  Didn't want to talk then. '

"She misses talking to you." ....................... Harold: 'Nothing too good for the queen.'

"A few days ago, in the dining room, there was a strong cinnamon smell.  Who was that?" .................Amanda: 'I only did that once.'   Harold: 'I think you did it more than once.'

"Joy had the smell of cherries and I smelled it in the bedroom, who does the cherry smell?" ................. Amanda: 'That was Anna'  Harold: 'Yup'

"Okay, so when we smell Cinnamon, it's Amanda and when we smell Cherries, it's Anna?" ................... Harold: 'That's about it.'

"Okay, and there were some guests on the bridge and they smelled lilac, but it is not lilac season.  Who was that?" ...............'Just plants'

"It's winter" ............... 'Turtles'

"Was it any body here from the Inn?" ........................ 'No'    Harold: 'Let's go with my predictions.'

"Okay.   A couple nights ago, Joy heard some footsteps in our bedroom.  Who was that?" ................... Harold: 'They were trying to affect your dreams.'

Chuck: "Harold, I have a question for you. Since you brought this up.  When I was out on the floor, and on your side, you said you were communicating with me." .................. 'Lots of us were.'

"Was I communicating with you?" ................... 'That's the thing.'

"Was I intelligent or earthbound at the time of the communicating?" ................. 'I don't remember.  We had limited time.  You weren't supposed to stay.  You made the decision to go back.'

"I made the decision?  It wasn't made for me?" ................... 'Truly, you made the decision.'

"Because I did not see any light, so I did not know I was out." ..................... 'You were busy dancing.'

"Harold, are you being honest on that one?  I was busy dancing?" ....................... 'You were with God.  In between.  You went back through the gate.'

"I went through the gate and then came back?" ....................... no answer

"Is that TMI?  Not supposed to talk about it?" ........................ 'Yes.  Not supposed to talk about it.'

"Ok, change the subject.   Last week we had HyVee food catering come here to deliver dinner and the door closed and locked.  Did any of you have something to do with that?" ........................ Harold: 'Um.  That was me.'

(The delivery man had left the van running with the keys in the ignition to keep the heater on.  He opened the side doors and took out the trolley cart and left the doors open.  When he reached the back of the van, before he could open the back doors, the side doors both slammed shut and the car doors locked.  He had to call for a tow truck to break into the van to open the door locks.  He thought it was weird that both doors slammed, then he heard the locks click.  Wind could have caused one door to close, but not both doors and not the locks.)

"Now, if I had asked, would you have unlocked the door for him?" ..................... 'Maybe'

"Was that for his intended for his purpose or ours?" .................... 'Just you'

"Good job, Harold, I liked it.   But he was pretty shaken." ....................... 'Okay.  Just having fun.  He didn't believe.'

Joy: "Who was the child who was in our room?" .................... 'Several who were led through by the man.  Seven came.'

Chris: "Why did they come through?  Were they trying to talk to Joy?" ................ 'Yes.  Seven. The man wanted to talk to you and the children wanted to talk to Joy.'

Chuck: "So what did the man want to talk to me about?" ....................... 'How do I know?'

Guest: "Do you like to play in the river?" ............... 'Yes'

Guest: "Is there a boat you play on?" ................'Boat'

Jinni: "Amanda, do you know where Tiger is?  My cat disappeared.  Do you know where he is?" ............ Amanda: 'I know he is important to you.  I'll look for him.'

Guest: "Who was near me when I took a picture?" .................... 'Woman'

"Does the woman have a name?" ................... 'Rachel'

"Is Rachel attached to me?" ................ 'No'

"Is Rachel attached to Bentonsport?" ................ 'Used to live there.'

Chuck: "Were you Frederick's wife?" ................. 'Used to be.'

Guest: "On your side, do you celebrate Veteran's Day?" ................ 'Some, yes.'

Guest: "How has Bart been doing lately?" ...................... Bart: 'Ha'

Chuck: "Hi, Bart, can you say hi to everybody?"............. 'Hi'

"Do you like the beer we put in Room 1 for you?" ............. 'Oh yes'

Guest: "Do animals communicate with you?" ................... 'Yes'

Guest: "We go through life reviews on the other side, do we have life reviews on this side too?" ............... 'No.  You have to wait.'

Guest: "Are my animal communications real?" .................. 'Of course.'

Chuck: "Is Julia here in the Room tonight?" .................. Julia: 'Yes'

"Julia, did you see the toiletries set on the vanity that somebody brought for you?" ................. Julia: 'Yes.  Meant the world.'

"Is that something like what you wanted?" ...................Julia: 'Yes, for me.'

"Good, Julia, we're glad you like it." ................... 'Thank you.'

Chuck: "Was there a spirit who went with me when I had my eye surgery?" ...................... 'Me'   (I had seen an orb zooming around the hospital room.)

"Who's me?" .................. 'I waited by the door for you.  Wanted to make sure you were well.'

"What's your name?" ..................... 'Just glad to be a part of this.'

"But I'd like to thank you personally.  Just your first name would be fine." ................... 'I've been with you since April.'

"Were you there the day before the surgery or the day of the surgery, or both?" ..................... 'Spent part of the time with you and part of the time in church.'

"Are you the 'man' that you can't say your name?" .................. 'If I say my name, it will limit me.'

"Are you the same 'man' that was communicating with me in my head, affecting my dreams, or are you someone different?" ............. 'Same.  Drop it.'  (We found out later that it was Lincoln, but he did not want to say so.)

Chuck: A guest we had here wanted to know is there a Rebecca who inhabits the Inn?" ....................... Harold: 'That's right, but only part of the year.'

"Is it recently?" .................... 'She's cold.'

"Has she gone to the light?" ................... 'No.  Not in the light.'

"Is she here, does she need help?" ..................... 'Joy can help her, but she loves you.'

"Tell her she can come back after she goes to the light." ................. Girl's voice: 'Fine!'

"Are you Rebecca?" ................ 'Yes'

"Are you ready to go to the light?" ................ 'Not right now.'    Man's voice: 'She likes the dining room.'    Girl's voice: 'I like chicken.'

"Fried or baked?" .................. 'Just chickens.'

"Oh, you like the chickens in the back yard?" ............... 'Yes'

"The ones that are laying eggs for us now?" .............. 'Yes.  Eat 'um.    There's plenty.'

"Yes, they are good.  When you are ready for help, let Joy know.  You know how to talk to Joy?" ............... 'Yes'

"Okay.  Is there a Tina that inhabits the Inn?" ........................ Harold: 'At first there was but not anymore.  No.'

"Okay, thank you. "

Guest: "Did Bart have a good time with us down stairs?" .................. Bart: 'Where's my old mug?'

"Is President Lincoln going to join us tonight or tomorrow?" ...................... Woman: 'Not here now.  Maybe tomorrow.  Got to make it fast.  It's a quick communication.'

Guest: "When I had my fall, was there someone there protecting me?" .............. 'There was alot of blood.  Paul'

Guest: "Do you recognize any of us here?" .................. 'What do you mean?'   'I saw you turn on the light.'

Guest: "There was a little girl who played with me last year.  I don't remember her name. She said I reminded her of her mother.  What was her name?" ................. 'Yeah'

"Is that little girl still here?" .................... Little girl: 'Kaitlin.    Seven'

Guest: "Did any spirits come with any of the guests today?" ................... no answer

Guest: "We are staying in Room 7, will we have alot of activity tonight?   Party in Room 7." ............... Harold: 'I have stage fright.    Only if you pick up the phone."

"We got a large orb down stairs, was that Harold?" ..................... Woman: 'I'm proud of you.'

Guest: "Was somebody sitting on my lap down stairs a little while ago?" ................... Little girl's voice: 'Hello. Hugging.  Bye.'

Chuck: "Harold, are you able to discuss how I'm doing on my training?" .................. Harold: 'There's a portal.   You're in the Army.'

"No, you were in the Army.  I was in the Air Force." ...................... 'Listen to the words when they talk.  We can't replay the words.'

"Harold, are you able to replay the scene of my accident, like a video, in Joy's head so she can see what happened to me?" ............. Harold: 'The fall.  See what we can do to help.  It's hard we don't want you to relive it.  We don't want Joy to see that.  You weren't alive.  Too hard for Joy.  No, we won't do that.'

Chris: "Okay, thanks everybody.  We'll talk to you again later." .................. 'Bye'

             Sunday, Nov. 9

Chris: "Technician assist" .................... 'Go.  I'm here.  Let's talk to the Innkeeper.'

Chuck: "Oh!  Do you have something you want to talk to me about?" .................... 'I'm ready'

"Okay.  We had a family here whose car was played with.  The windows were down and the sun roof was open.  It was not that way last night." ........'You got caught.'    (A man found his car with the windows rolled down and the sun roof open in the morning.  He tried to recreate it but could not without the engine turned on.  He could not figure out how somebody did that without the keys to turn the car on.)

"Can we ask who got caught?" ....................... 'Harold'

"Was that you, Harold?" .................... 'Maybe.  They were skeptics.'

Guest: "They're not skeptics any more, are they?" ................... 'Nope'

Chuck: "They can't do that without power." .................... 'I am power.'

"That was a good one, Harold.  Really surprised them." ................. 'Yep.  Zap!'

Chuck: "Today is Veteran's Day and I'd like to thank all of you who served in wars and protected this country.  Thank you." .................. Various voices: 'You said it.'    'Thank you.'   'It was important.'

Guest: "Bart, we have a police officer in the house and she is going to be in Room 1 tonight.  Are you going to show up there?" ........... Bart: 'Maybe'

"What if she left out a beer for you, Bart, would you show up?" ..................... Bart: 'Tastes good.  Meet ya.'

"What about Room 7?" ............... 'No'

Guest: "Is Daniel there?" ................. Daniel: 'Hi'

Guest: "How many spirits are in the Inn tonight?" ................ 'A lot'

Guest: "Did any of the guests bring a spirit with them?" ............... 'No earthbounds.'

Guest: "Is Daniel going to be in Room 7 visiting me?" .................. 'No promises'

Guest: "Amanda, will you be glad when we leave?" ............... Amanda: 'No'

Guest: "Did any living guest of the Mason House Hotel ever pass away while visiting the Inn?" ............... 'No'

Guest: "Does any one want to talk to me?" ................... little girl's voice: 'Hi'

"Hi, honey.  What's your name?" ................... 'I'm five'

"Oh.  What's your name?" .................. 'Kim'

"Are you a resident here at the Inn?" ...................... Amanda: 'She is'

Guest: "My daughter's name is Kim also.  Will you come visit me?" ....................... 'No'   Amanda: 'Markie brought her.'

Chuck: "Did you pass away here at the Inn?" ................. 'No'

Chuck: "So Markie brought you here?" ................... 'Yes'

"Have you been to the light or do you need help?" ..................... 'Already been there.'

"Well, welcome, Kim.  I hope you like it here." ......................... no answer

"Do you play with Jinni?" ...................... 'Sometimes.  She's an angel.'

Chris: "I think they mean Jinni is an angel." ..................... Harold: 'Yup.  She is.'

Joy: "Did any of you see our new grandson, JC, when he was here this week?" ................... Harold: 'I did.  Sweet baby.'

"I want to know if he is an old soul like his brother." ....................... 'Not supposed to talk about it.'

Chuck: "Oh.  Well you told us before.  I don't want to get you in trouble, but can you tell us yes or no?" ............... 'Can't talk about it.'

Guest: "Does anybody have any special requests they would like us to do?  Songs?  Games? Anything?" ................... Harold:'Gifts'

"Gifts like what?" ....................... 'Game on!'

"How about playing cards.  Would you hang out with us there?" ..................... 'Too much temptation.'

"How about a beer?" ....................... Bart: 'Whiskey'

Chuck: "They want the real stuff from the old watering hole." ................... Bart: 'Yup'

Guest: "Is President Lincoln here?" ..................... 'He already left.'

Chris: "That's all for tonight.  Thanks everybody." ............................. 'That's a wrap.'    'Thank you'     'Says you'
