February 21 & 22, 2009

    For 2009, we are trying something new with the classes.  The 101 class will be on Saturdays and the 102 class will be on Sundays.  Most of the students take both classes, staying overnight both nights.  During this February class, we did one "Telephone to the Dead" session each night.  The follow transcripts are taken from those sessions.  I did not transcribe the personal messages.

      Saturday night, Feb. 21, Room 5:

Chris- "Okay, we have a big group here tonight, so we'll start with some questions.  Who do we have with us?"................'Harold'      'Curtis'      'I'm here.'

Chuck- "Harold, how are you tonight?".............'Good'

"This morning in the kitchen, while Joy and I were making breakfast, someone said "It's a snowy day."  Who said that?".......................'That was me.  Curtis.'

"We thought that was you, Curtis.  That was very nice."..........................'No problem.'

"Curtis, is there a reason you had Joy hear it and not me?".......................'You should have.'

"I'm sorry, I guess I'm not sensitive enough.".........................'Listen harder next time.'

Joy- "Do you like the snow, Curtis?"............................'Yes.  It's pretty.'

Chuck- "Harold, I've got a scientific question to ask you.  Are you ready?"..............'Uh huh.'

"Can you sprits smell?"......................'Of course'

"So you have the ability to project smells as well as smell yourself?"...................'Yes'

"That's pretty neat.   Harold, last week we had a group of ghost hunters here."................'I was watching them.'

"What did you think of that word box they had?"................'Too hard.'

"Was the white noise box bothering you, talking over it?"..............'Too hard.'     Ty - 'It doesn't sync.'

"Who was asking for help?".....................Harold - 'All of us.  Couldn't get it to work.'

"You did get it to work."........................'Only four.'

"Was it taking too much energy to talk on the box?"....................'Frustrating'

"Yes, we sensed your frustration.".....................'Too hard'

Joy - "What about the sticks.  Did you like doing that?"..................'Yes, sticks.  Easy.'

Chuck - "Did you like the group itself?".......................'They were dry.   No fun that night.   Where's Kristin?'

"What about Kristin?"......................................'Where is she?  We miss her.  Not here anymore.'

"She moved away."............................'Needs to come home.'

Joy - "She's afraid you will scare away her new boyfriend.".......................'I promise it won't be scary.'

"What won't be scary?"........................'Coming back won't be scary.'

Chuck - "You've already scared off three boyfriends, she's afraid you'll scare off this one too.  They are getting married in June and she does not want to loose this one."....................'It won't be scary.  They were freaks.'

"Is Dan a freak or is he okay?".........................'Who's Dan?'

"Dan is her fianc�.  He has been here before and he stayed in the blue room.  He rode the rides with Kristin when we went on vacation.  You've seen him.  Do you like him?"....................'He's okay.'

"Just don't scare him off, okay?"............................'It won't be scary.'

"Okay.  Change the subject.  The last time Chris was here, we got an EVP with the sound of a bird in the background.  Are there any birds on your side that reside in the Inn?"...................'Yes'

"Were they pets?"......................'Yes.  Pets.'

"Whose pets were they?"........................'The children.'

"The children had the pet birds?"....................'Yes'

"What kind of birds were they?"........................'Little.  Finches.  The girls like them.'

"Were they outside the house or were they in a cage?"..................'Cage'

"What room are they in, in a cage?"....................'Parlor'

"The cage was in the parlor?  And we were able to hear them up here (in Room 5)?"...............'Uh huh'

"That was pretty neat."........................'Yeah, it was neat.'

"Is Daniel here?".....................'Uh huh'

"Is he okay since he went to the light?"..................'Perfect.'

"Is he glad he went to the light?"......................'Yeah'

"Does he come and go?".......................'Once a week'

"So he got the help he needed?"....................'Yeah'

"How many spirits here in the Inn have shown themselves to Jinni?"...................'All of us'

"How many is that?"............................'39'

"She's seen 39 of you?".................'Yes'

"What happened to the napkins on the table in the parlor this morning?" (We found the paper napkins that were in the dining table in the parlor, shredded to hundreds of pieces.  Only a few of the pieces were on the floor, the rest were on the table.  My cats have never done anything like that before and we wanted to know what happened.)............................'Cat did it.'

"Was it our cats on this side, or your cat on your side?".....................'Josephine'

"Why would Josephine shred the napkins?"....................'Something you did.  She was upset.'

"She's upset at something we did?  What?"......................'Tabitha helped her.  Shredded them.'

"But why would she do that?  Tabitha, can you share with us about the napkins?"..............Tabitha - 'Cat got all tangled up.  Made a mess.  Napkins everywhere.  All of them.'     Harold - 'That was funny.'

"Tabitha, what happened to you around Christmas time this last year?"...................'All frustrated.'      Harold - 'Who's in Room 7?'

"What about Room 7?".........................'Party in Room 7.'

"Amanda, are you there?"......................'I'm here.'

"What's up with you and Johnny?".................'Nothing.'

Guest - "Harold, did you come to our room last night?  We're in Room 3, the General Store."...............'Wasn't me.'

              "Someone knocked over the soap in our bathroom and turned on the shower"...................'Oh. Yeah.'

             "Did you rub my leg?"....................'No.  Not me.'

            "Who rubbed my leg?"................... girl laughs,  'Cat did it.'

            "The cat was in our room? On our bed?"...................'Yes.  She was busy last night.'

Another guest - "Who was in Room 7 last night?"..................Harold - 'Me.'

                              "So Harold jumped on our bed?"....................'No, that was the cat.  All over last night. Busy.'

                             "Was Josephine on the bed in Room 7 last night?"...................'Yes.'

                             "Will anybody be in our room tonight?"...................'Watch for it.'

Another guest - "I was in the Caboose last night.  Did anybody come and visit me?"..................'We can.  Looked in on you.'

Another guest - "I'm in the next room tonight, can you turn on the lights on the vanity like you did last time we were here?"........................'That was impressive.'

                           "Yes, it was impressive.  Can you do it again?"....................'I'll try.  There's a bunch of us.'

Chuck - "Is Mary here tonight?".........................Mary - 'Here'

"Mary, the wall paper in this room is getting old and starting to fall down.  Is there any problem if we take the wallpaper down?".......................'Wait, don't do it.'

"What we'd like to do is take the wallpaper down and paint it and put a rose border around the top."............'No'

"What would you like us to do?  Because it's starting to fall apart.".............................'Let it go.'

"Can we replace it with something?"...............................'Quit'

"Well, think about it Mary, because we need to do something with it."......................'Glue it.'

"Do you want to pick something new?  We could get you some samples and you could pick something you like.".....................'No.'

"So this old stuff has to stay up?".........................'Uh huh.   Just stick with it.  It stays.'

"Thank you for your opinion, Mary, we'll try to stick with it as long as we can, but we have to do something eventually."......................'It stays.  Leave it alone.'

"How about Room 8?  Can we paint Room 8?  The blue room, can we paint it?"..........................'Don't ask.'   'I like it blue.'

"It would still be blue, just brighter with a new border.".........................'I like it blue.'      'Make it pink.'

Guest - "Do I have a guardian angel?"......................'Yes'

Another Guest - "Will somebody visit me in Room 4 tonight?"........................Curtis- 'I will.'

Joy - "Pull his covers off, Curtis, you like doing that."...........................'Yeah, that's funny.'    Girl laughs.

Chuck - "Is David here tonight?".........................'Yes'

"David, are you ready to go to the light yet?"......................'No.  Leave it alone.'

"You'll feel better if you go to the light.  Why don't you talk to Markie about it.".......................'No'

Guest - "Harold, can you touch one of us here, now?"...........................'I'll do it tonight.'

Chuck - "Harold, how many spirits are here with us right now?".....................'Seven or eight'

"Did the vortex open up in here tonight?".............................'Before'

"Before the session?".........................'Do you want more?  They'll come if you want more.'

Guest - "The little kids that are here, do they stay up all night?"....................'No sleep.   We don't sleep.'

Chuck - "Lady and Purdy, are they here at the Inn?".......................'Not all the time.'

"Are they able to show themselves to us?".........................'Jinni sees them.'

"Jinni sees both of them, or just one?"..........................'Purdy'

Guest - "Do you enjoy us talking to you?"....................'I do.'

            "Was that Harold?"...............................'No. Curtis.'

            "Will 2009 be another year of bad flooding?"...........................'Not as bad.'

            "Will Mother Nature get around to making the weather normal?"........................'What's normal?'

Another guest - "Do the ghosts in the attic ever come down?".....................'They do.'

                            "What's your favorite color, Mary?"...............................'Leave it alone.'     Harold - 'Get a professional.'

Chuck - "Oh, is it okay if a professional does it?"....................'NO!  Leave it alone!'     Harold - 'I tried.'

Guest - "Is there a spirit in that doll in Room 5 in the rocking chair?".....................Harold - 'No.  Just a doll.'

Another Guest - "Harold, come play in my room tonight."..................'Just wait.'

Chuck - "Does Johnny still play in our room at night?"......................'Yes.  He plays quietly.'

Chris - "We're going to go now.  Thanks guys."............................'That's it?'

"We'll be back tomorrow"............................'Okay.  We'll be here.'

Joy - "You think about that wallpaper, okay, Mary?".........................'Leave it alone!'   Harold - 'Now you did it.'

Chris - "Sorry, Mary.  Good bye."..........................'Leave it alone!'           'Bye'       'Come back.'

           That night, the lady staying alone in Room 8 said the hangers in her closet were jangling and she was patted on her lower back.  She did not get much sleep and left early in the morning.  The people in Room 5 said their hangers were moving also and there was tapping on their headboard.

               Sunday, February 22, Room 5:

Chuck - "Ty, I do want to ask if you could help us with David.  If you could tell us if he has a concern or is afraid of his uncle, that he does not want to go to the light, we'd appreciate it, so we could help resolve it."....................'Uncle'

"Thank you.  Are there any spirits here tonight who have not talked to us before that would like to talk to us for the first time?"....................'Many'

"Would one like to step forward and talk to us for the first time?"...................'Hi'

"Can you give us your name please?".........................'Matthew'

"Thank you, Matthew, what year did you die?"...................'1942'

"How old were you, Matthew?".........................'25'

"Were you a resident of Bentonsport?"......................'No'

"Did you stay here as a guest?"...........................'No'

"Do you like to interact with the guests with Harold?"......................'No.  Not me.'

"Matthew, do you have a last name you can give us?".......................'Kemper'   (or Temper or Tender )

Joy - "When we were in the kitchen earlier today, something fell off the shelf and almost hit Brennen.  Does anybody know anything about that?"......................'Me.'

"Who did that?  What's your name?"......................'Alice.  The baby wanted the candy.'

"So you knocked it off the shelf for him?".................'I did.  Candy.'

"How old are you, Alice?"...............................'80'

"So you are a grandmother?".......................'So'

"Alice, what year did you die?".........................A man's voice says 'Hi guys'

"Alice, were you a resident of Bentonsport?"......................'No'

"Thank you for talking to us, Alice."............................'Not a problem.'

Joy - "The lady in Room 8 last night said somebody was in her closet, moving the hangers.  Who was that?"..................Man's voice - 'Louie'

"And did you touch her too?".......................Louie - 'Oh yeah.  I had to.'

"And did you move the hangers in Room 5 too?"..................'Not me.  That was Harold.'

"Was that Harold who was knocking on their headboard too?"..................'Uh huh.'

"Louie, are you a resident of the Inn as well?"...........................'I am'     Harold - 'Speak up.'

"Louie, do you just stay in Room 8, or do you go anywhere else?"......................'Dining room.'

"Do you know Michael Brown in Room 8?"........................'Sure'

"He likes to pat and feel people too.".......................'I know.'

Guest - "Who turned on the shower in our bathroom last night?"....................Harold - 'I was hiding behind something.'

Another guest - "Last night you said there was going to be a party in Room 7, but I don't think anything happened.".......................'You didn't hear it?   The bed?'

       "We did hear a bang, like on the headboard of the bed, was that it?"........................'Yeah, that's it.'

        "Who else was in Room 7 last night?"....................'Me'     'Me'     'Me'     'Me'

         "Any names?  All you are saying is 'Me'."......................'Harold'   'Amanda'  'Curtis'   'Me'

Guest - "I heard a bang in the hallway, was that Harold?"....................'Yes.  It was me.'

             "I thought so.  Did you leave something in my room?"...................'Little stick'

             "The little red golf tee?"..........................'I thought it was a toothpick.  What's a golf tee?'

Chuck - "Golf is a game where you hit a little ball off a little stick with a bigger stick."..................'Oh.  That's a game?'

"It is fun for people who play it."........................'Oh.'

Joy - "Just a little bit ago, when we were in the hallway, I heard some shuffling in the hallway down by Room 7.  Who was that?"......................Harold - 'Mary was frustrated.'

"Was it okay that they went upstairs?".....................'No'

"Did Joy feel Mary come downstairs when the people went upstairs?"..................'Two came down.'

"Did David come down too?".......................'Yes'

Guest - "I'm sorry.  We didn't mean to disturb you."....................'You did.'

"Is there anybody else who wants to talk to us?".........................'Amanda does.'

"Amanda, what's up with you and Johnny?".........................'What?'

"Did you go to the light recently with Doug's help?"........................'Already went.  Many did.'

"Is there anything anybody wants to tell us?"..........................Harold - 'Tapping downstairs.'

"You mean now or after the class?"..........................'After'

"Is Bart here?  Can Bart say hi?"......................'He's not here'

"Where is he?"......................'I don't know.'

"Is Arthur here tonight?".....................'Yes'

"Are you still searching for your daughter?"..........................'Don't know what happened to her.'    'Bart's here.'

"You have a deep voice, Bart."......................'Thanks'

"Do you ever follow us out onto the bridge?"....................'No. That's Arthur.  In black.'

Chris - "That's it everyone.  Thanks for talking with us.  Bye.".....................'Bye, Chris.'

      During the night, the lady in Room 5 heard knocking sounds and the people in Room 7 had their nightlight going off and on and their shower turned on and off.
